Always remember, when asked to be seen by management in regards to anything that might be later used for disciplinary actions, request to have a steward present.
Always e-mail your manager after any conversations regarding time-off or any requests you might make.
This is to cover yourself and have documentation in case they forget or state they never made that statement.
